Wellbeing Team at Staughton College

At Staughton College we recognise the connection between wellbeing and academic engagement. Our multidisciplinary team of professionals are here to enhance the social and emotional wellbeing of the school community. The Wellbeing team brings skills and experience from a range of areas from the community and school sector.

We offer individual counselling, case management, referrals to external agencies and the delivery of various programs such as, Drumbeat, Lovebites and year level social skills days; along with whole school health promotion activities such as, the Breakfast club, RU OK? day, IDAHOBIT and Mental Health Week.

We run two lunchtime programs, Chess club and Alphabet Stand Out group – which is our LGBTIQA+ and ally group.

The Wellbeing team work closely with external services and agencies to ensure our students and their families receive the best support.

We work in partnership with our teaching staff to develop various professional development sessions for staff.

Students can self-refer by visiting the Wellbeing Office or speaking to their Year Level Coordinator.

Parents and Carers can make referrals by contacting the Wellbeing Team and requesting that their child be seen by a Wellbeing staff member.
